To celebrate our first holiday season since launching the Elven, Obsidian and Shogun Bundles are expiring at 11:59 PM CT on December 21, 2018! As a limited time bonus we have added Episode 2 access to these bundles! We will also be expiring several of the items that are included in those bundles including pets, weapons, decorations and homes. We are also discounting these items, some as much as 30%! Fishing Phase 2 Updates: Trophies & Lava Fish

Fishing Phase 2 is going to include some amazing expansions to the fishing system and we outlined these during the Release 57 livestream as well as our recent weekly livestreams. In last week’s update #300 we revealed the freshwater, saltwater, and fetid water fish going live in Q4 as well as a preview of the scaling tech. This week we reveal the Lava Fish and a bunch of the new fish mounted as trophies!

Community Livestream – Scaling & Trophies (Oct 12)

Another content packed weekly Community Livestream is this Friday October 12 at 4 PM CDT on Twitch!

This week we are going to talk about the new scaling technology coming online in Release 59 to support Fishing Phase 2, harvesting, and agriculture! This tech allows us to scale items when they are harvested or caught through systems like fishing. Above you can see a picture of some trophy pumpkins that were harvested. Joaquin “Wizardsmoke” Del Canto and Brandon “Bzus” Cotton will be showing off how this system works with pumpkins and we will discuss how it will work with trophy fish.

As a reminder you can earn the Dragon themed stretchgoals by making a purchase on any Friday during Release 58 or by participating in the Rewards program! These stretchgoals are in honor of the Wyverns which went live in Release 58. We have already hit the first three goals!

Fishing Phase 2 Updates: New Fish & Scaling

Fishing Phase 2 is going to include some amazing expansions to the fishing system and we outlined these during the Release 57 livestream as well as our recent weekly livestreams. In weekly update 298 we also revealed the Lava Fishing Rod made by our very own Scott “Scottie” Jones!

This week Damon Waldrip has been busily prepping over 30 new fishes that will be going into the game as part of Fishing Phase 2 over the course of Q4. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the fish for Fresh, Salt, and Fetid water.

Release 58 Livestream – Oct 4, 2018 (Dragon Themed)

Q4 2018 Schedule Update

Greetings Avatars,

As 2018 comes to a close we can reflect on what an amazing year it has been! We moved out of Early Access in March and Collector’s Boxes shipped in Q3! As we have finished our Kickstarter promises we have been able to focus on polish and serious improvements to quality of life! The final quarter of 2018 is going to be amazing with Player Made Dungeons, Fishing Phase 2, Seasonal Content, and more polish!

PLEASE NOTE: The last two releases of the year (Nov/R60 and Dec/R61) will be very early in their respective months so that they are released well ahead of the US winter holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Q4 is just a warmup for 2019 which will be an amazing year for Shroud of the Avatar players! Crafting specializations (choose your effects!), Grandmaster Craftsman only effects, more loot improvements, more expansions to the fishing system, better boss fights and more! 2019 will of course culminate with Episode 2 which will have a new story, new lands, a revamp of the Quest and Journal system, a Theater System, Treasure Hunting with treasure maps that show up as loot, Item Affinity, Taming system expansions, Customizable NPCs, and expanded permissions for containers and doors!
